Ok Friends, I received my first Vox Box and have been loving all of the Lancôme products I received.
I have not found anything that stays on longer than this (except maybe that LipSense stuff that’s all the rage). When my box first arrived I put it on right away to see what I thought. The color I received was a little bright for me, but none the less it was awesome. After putting it on I ate dinner and hung out for a bit, then did my normal evening routine (for some reason I didn’t take the lip color off…maybe because I was just trying to see if I could get used to the color), but when I woke up the next morning it was still on and it actually still looked good and my lips weren’t dried out.
So here’s the deal with how it works, you shake it up to get the color on the sponge then apply. I have to say, the sponge it nice to put it on evenly and smooth, but it’s definitely a little big, making it hard to apply within the defines of your lips. I tried it again later and it is definitely SOO helpful to use with lip liner, makes it way easier to keep it where you want it to be.
Product Description: reveal smooth, even, and radiant skin! This easy to use, leave-on liquid nighttime face peel works to gently exfoliate skin surface cells and address multiple skin concerns: uneven skin texture, appearance of pores, wrinkles and fine lines, and dark spots. Inspired by fitness interval training, Visionnaire Crescendo™ alternates between two different formulas to be used over a 28-night period as part of an interval skin training experience. Start with Phase 1 to reduce the appearance of pores, improve skin’s texture, and radiance. Then, switch to Phase 2 for the last 14 nights. This phase reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots.
- After 1 night of using Phase 1: Skin feels smoother and is more radiant
- After 3 nights of using Phase 1: Skin tone appears more even and fine lines are visibly reduced
- After 14 nights of Phase 1: Pores appear reduced
- After 28 nights of Phase 2: Wrinkles and dark spots are visibly reduced
OK now that we know what this is suppose to do, here are my thoughts on this experience. So, after the first night, I did feel like my skin felt a little smoother, but I didn’t really notice it being brighter right away. I would say after night 4 I felt like my skin seemed to have a little extra glow and my makeup went on a lot easier, I didn’t even have to use as much (which we all know is a BONUS, especially when we spend SOO much money on it!). The product states on the packaging not for sensitive skin, which I don’t have, so I didn’t experience any burning or tingling feeling with this stage like I have seen others say.
Once I moved to phase two, I did notice a slight tingling feeling for about five minutes, then it subsided. I have to say, I love this phase of the peel. I have a lot of sun damage from those no sunscreen, tanning WAAAAYYY too much days, and have several areas of darker pigmented spots. I was surprised to see those areas lighten a some, but I think what I noticed most was my pores. Those on and around my nose have really gotten smaller. I love this, this is why I am having to use less makeup, because I’m not having to fill those babies in!!
Per the directions it stated to use a moisturizer after you put it on to help alleviate any discomfort, I have to say….I was really bad about this, but I didn’t notice needing it much the night of.
So I used this a few times after putting the peel on and a few mornings. I have to say, it’s just okay. I found it to be super thin, making it kind of messy. I did like how it dried quickly and didn’t find it to leave an oily residue after. In fact quite the opposite. I felt a little dry and that I still needed to add a little moisturizer. In my opinion, I have used other products that work the same and are a little less expensive. I would call this more a splurge item for facial sunscreen.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a fantastic week!
