Happy New Year My Friends! I can’t believe it is already 2018. It seems SOO crazy how fast it has come. It’s funny, last night someone mentioned when their was the big Y2K scare and everyone started stocking up on grocery’s, batteries and flashlight and all other crazy things because there was this thought everything was going to crash after Midnight. Anyone else remember that? Well, I do and here we are, 18 years later and the tech industry is stronger than ever. Crazy how things turnout!
This year has been such a great year for me and my family that picking 10 most memorable moments has been tough. But, some of the great moments I didn’t document on the blog (I probably should have, oh well). One of those undocumented favorites was changing my blog over to self host and taking things much more serious and turning this from a hobby, to something I love and do full time…although, I am still a nurse full time as well! So much has happened this year and I am so blessed and grateful for ALL of them. Here are my Top 10 posts and most memorable moments to me!
1 Amelia Turned One
Amelia has been so fun and she brings so much joy and definitely some personality into our family. She is almost 2 now and it just seems crazy how fast time has gone. We didn’t do anything big for her birthday, but did have a fun little Oscar’s Themed party with just the four of us. She the post Here
2 My First Sponsored Post
I still remember getting the email about this. I was so excited to have my first gifted product in exchange for a blog post and social sharing. It was just that feeling of accomplishment that my hard work I was putting in was actually paying off. It was also such a fun post to put together because James and I celebrated our Five Year Anniversary. If you follow along in the years of marriage gifts, the fifth year is something wood. So it only seemed fitting to have a cool wood watch to give to him! See the Post Here and just in case here is my Anniversary Post.
3 My Fist Experience Getting Facial Injections
The fist time I ever got facial injections was both scary and exciting. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would turn it. I can remember after having it done I had such a rush of energy because it was so exciting. You can read all about my experience here. This topic has been such a big one for my readers that I am planning to incorporate more of this into my blog this year. I have some exciting things coming up on when it comes to injections and aesthetics this year and I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU ALL!!!!
4 Pop-Up Playdate
This was such a fun afternoon! My friends at The Revelry Co put together a fun little Popsicle Playdate for the girls and it was SOO Cute! They always do such an amazing job at putting together little pop-up parties and this was one of Aria’s favorites from our Summer this year. Check out the Post Here and see all the details on putting together a fun and easy summer party for your kids!
5 Veronica Beard Meet + Greet
What a fun event. Nordstrom in Palo Alto hosted the Veronica Beard sisters at a Fall Fashion preview event with the launch of their new denim line. It was so fun to see their interview and them meet them afterwards and talk fashion. They are seriously the nicest women and it just made me love the brand even more! Full Post Here
6 Accepted Into The LikeToKnow.IT Family
This is my very first post I did after getting accepted into the LTK family. This was a goal of mine for this year and I couldn’t be happier that I get to be apart of such an iconic bloggers fashion group. You can see the Post Here and remember all my photos on Instagram or Facebook are shopable. Be sure to Follow Me here so you don’t ever miss a post!
7 CoolSculpting Expereince
If you have not checked out This Post, it is a MUST READ. CoolSculpting was such an amazing experience and it is definitely WORTH IT. Of all of the options out there this is the best way to get rid of the fat (and it permanent!). I met Sheri from Allure Rejuvenation Center earlier this year at one of her CoolSculpting info sessions and immediately knew she was the perfect person to do this. She is very knowledgeable, she’s honest and makes you feel very at ease while you’re there! You can also check out my half-way results here. My full results post is coming next week, and you guys…IT’S GOOOOOD!
8 Joining The Maskcara Team
Ok, so I know I haven’t posted as much on this since joining the team. But, you can expect that to change. This year I am going to share more with you on my Absolute Favorite Makeup and how it is the perfect fit into the everyday mom, traveler, busy women, and makeup junkie’s life. It is seriously the best and I love that I get to be apart of the excitement. Also, I will be doing more live tutorials and info sessions on my Instagram and Facebook pages, so be sure to follow me there so you don’t miss them.
9 Livermore Valley Wine Country
This one one of your favorite posts and one of my favorite hidden gems. This little wine country is so cute, up and coming and I plan on sharing a whole lot more of this place with you throughout the year! I love it is a little under the radar right now because it makes the tasting experience so fun and enjoyable. The people at the wineries I have been to so far have been SO nice and you guys, the wine is GOOD!
10 How We Knew Amelia Needed Glasses
This was one of those moments when I felt like I failed as a parent. Amelia was 18 months old when we found out and I remember feeling so upset that I hadn’t noticed any signs of her having vision troubles. But, when I put those glasses on her for the first time and she gave this smile of relief, grabbed my face and gave me the biggest slobbery kiss, my entire heart melted. There were so many emotions running through my mind. Read the Entire Post here.
