Mama, do you take time to be silly with your kids? It doesn’t happen often enough below I’m sharing 4 ways you can be silly with them throughout the week 👇🏼
It’s something so simple and easy. However, often times we’re focused on our to-do list or wanting a moment of quiet that we don’t take the time.
But, these moments of play are so important for both your kids AND you! So here are 4 ways to take a break, bond and create memories with your babies.
4 Easy Ways To Be Silly With Your Kids
1️⃣ Make silly faces and see who is the first to laugh. 🤪 We often do this with fun filters on Instagram stories or in SnapChat. There’s just something funny about some of those and it helps jumpstart the silliness. My girls love to see themselves through the lens and on camera. I always save them. Then on a day I’m down or in a crummy mood I can re-watch them and I’m instantly feeling better.
2️⃣ Turn on some music for karaoke or a dance party…but purposely do crazy moves and make silly voices. 🎤 This is a staple in our house. Dancing around the kitchen while cooking, in the living room on a Sunday afternoon or I often start a dance party to get the girls up and moving on lazy days. And incorporating silly moves is a must…it’s how I got the nickname Crazy Kiki.
3️⃣ Let them do your makeup. This will definitely create some laughs. Amelia made my eyebrows green the other day. 😂 The girls love doing my makeup and I love the idea of feeling pampered, even if it does look crazy. It’s a great way to connect with your girls, and create a fun and healthy view of makeup. It’s not always about looking glammed and perfect, but that makeup should be fun and make you feel good.
4️⃣ Tell jokes with each other. The girls love doing this lately during dinner. They come up with the most random things 🤡 These are always done spur of the moment. Like you ask a question, have everyone guess and then the joke punch line. It’s so fun to see their little brains get creative, practice their rhyming skills and have a fun, silly sense of humor.
