Mama, I get it. You’re tired, you might have been up late or up really early. You are constantly picking up after these little humans. You’re also getting them off to school, cleaning the house, making dinners and all of the million other things on your to-do list. So thinking about your daily outfit is probably the furthest thing on your mind.
But, it doesn’t have to be. Getting ready can be be super easy. You can still be casual, comfy and look put together with very little effort. It can be as easy as adding or doing one of the simple steps. Below I’m sharing my 7 Tips to Up Your Mom Style Game.
I know you’re thinking, I just can’t add one more thing. But I swear, all but one of these tips take about 60 seconds to complete. And that one that’s not only takes 3-5 Minutes.
7 Tips To Up Your Mom Style Game
Headbands/Hair Accessories – This is one of the oldest and easiest tricks in the books. Adding this look deliberate and can complete a look. From Cute scrunchies, pearl headbands and clips you’ll be ready in a few minutes. Ps: don’t for get to add some Dry Shampoo, because Mama I usually need it too!
No Makeup Makeup Look – ok so this is the only one of my tips that takes a little extra time, but I promise it’s worth it! You’ll feel refreshed, pulled together and overall just happy. The days I skip this step, I almost always shy away of getting out, popping on my Instagram stories and I feel more sluggish. Although it takes 3-5 minutes, it’s game changer for your day! Here are a couple of posts on my routine here, here and here.
Knot It Up – Stop wearing those big, oversized tees. It looks sloppy, frumpy and keeps you from looking pulled together. So take a quick second to tie a knot in it and then head out. You can do this over leggings, skinny jeans, shorts or even a jumpsuit like I did here!

this is actually a workout top
Belt It Up – Just like above, you can either tuck it in and add a belt. Or depending on the style you can just add the belt over the top.
Tuck It In – I love a good half tuck, or lately a whole tuck has been in rotation. It creates cleaner lines and looks intentional.
Add A Hat – I love hats. They are perfect for those days when your hair needs to be washed, or maybe you do skip your quick makeup routine. Anything from a baseball cap, to a wide brim hat (straw or felt depending on the season).
Sunglasses/Fashion Eye Glasses – I like to keep both of these on hand at all time. Basically accessories are a moms best friend! Whether you’re out and about and want to pull it all together with either of these glasses you’ll instantly look pulled together.
You’re All Set
So after looking through these tips, it’s basically about keeping a few accessories within arms length at all times to rotate into the mix. Keeping your look tailored and looking intentional is what prevents you from looking frumpy, not put together and worst of all…tired and run down!
