Not Your Boring Black Dress For NYE

I normally am all about comfortable, easy style, but I have upped my game a bit for the holidays this year. I have some really great looks that I am so excited to share with you all! Now this black dress is one that a friend of mine pulled for me to try on. I have to admit, I was like “What, really? This totally doesn’t go with my mom life fashion.” But seriously, after I put it on I was in love with it! I couldn’t help it, the cutout details are surprisingly super flattering…and I’m definitely am not one to wear anything very revealing. However, my first thought was New Year’s Eve! This would be the PERFECT New Year’s Eve dress.

So you may be thinking, New Year’s already? But yes, now is the time to start snatching up some of these amazing styles. Especially while so many of them are on major sale. I snagged this black dress from Vici a couple months ago and have been dying to share it with you all! The hi-lo hem and cutout details are so good! But, it’s one of those pieces that definitely worth the wait! I mean, it’s pretty amazing right?!?!

A high-lo dress can sometimes be tricky when trying to figure out shoes. Especially when there is such a drastic difference between the hems AND you’re dealing with winter weather. I found these Uhh-Mazing sock booties at Nordstrom Rack on sale and new they would be perfect for this dress.  Just the right amount of glitz and glam to add in for the holiday look.

With the dress and booties being so dramatic I decided I wanted those to be the main statement. Therefore I thought it would be best to keep the accessories to a minimum. However, you could totally go for it and add a chunky statement necklace for a bolder Holiday look.
