It never fails, once September hits everyone always starts talking about ALL THINGS FALL. Me included, I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but it just brings out such a different spirit in people. Everybody just seems to be in a happier mood, a little more friendly and ready exchange out their Summer tanks for sweaters and sandals for booties. Me personally, I love booties and have several pair, but in reality there’s 3 booties you need in your closet.
I say 3 because I think you should have a classic black and brown/tan pair, then your third pair is your fun print, color or style. Don’t get me wrong, you can certainly have more…but if you’re on a budget you can get by with just a few.
The Three Booties You Need
Black Booties – these are a classic, go with everything kind of shoe. You can put a black bootie with almost anything and be set. This is my favorite pair I have purchased is a really long time. Why? Because they’re so comfortable. The heel may see high, but don’t let that fool you! I wear these all the time when out and about with my girls or even going out shopping. I also love the detail in the suede so it’s not just a plain bootie.
Tan/Taupe Booties – Just like a pair of black booties, you can get away with wearing these with just about any and everything. So if you are on a budget you could pick either color and be set for the season. But, this color tends to look best with those lighter sweaters, army green and wearing casually with jeans and tees.
Print or Color Bootie – So this may be your splurge pair, but make sure it’s something you can wear with a few things. As I always say make sure the price per wear is worth it. This is my absolute favorite right now, I mean who doesn’t love a leopard print shoe! The thing I love about these is they go with so many things. I mean leopard is pretty much a neutral, right?!!? If you’re not sure you’ll get a ton of wear out of them, my trick is to find an inexpensive pair. See how many times you wear them then move to your splurge pair. I say this because the cheaper option typically won’t last long, but if you’re getting wear out of them…then you know you will with the more expensive pair. This one is so comfy and totally worth every penny!
So now that you have your booties set for Fall and Winter you’re ready to take on all the holiday activities over the the next few months.
So tell me, are you a heeled or flat bootie kind of girl? Me, I’m a heeled bootie all the way!
