This is probably my favorite outfit of this casual Valentine’s Day series. I think because it’s one of those looks you can get away with wearing any day of the week. Whether you have to go into the office (just remove the hat), running around getting errands done, or going out with friends or a date. It’s comfortable and goes from day to night super easy. I know, you might be thinking “A fitted tee and leather skirt? This isn’t very casual.” But, hear me out on this one and see if you change your mind. First, we start with a classic AND basic white t-shirt, this is my favorite Blair Maxwell. We all have at least one, or maybe five white tees in our closet. I mean it doesn’t get more casual and comfortable than that.
Ok, so enough about the t-shirt. We all know that’s the casual piece to this look. Let’s talk about the leather skirt, because let’s be honest that’s probably what’s keeping you from seeing this as casual. And maybe that’s true, but pairing it with a flat shoe keeps it comfortable, and to me anything that’s comfortable seems casual. If you don’t have a leather skirt, then use what you have. Maybe it’s a cotton pencil skirt, or maybe you love and have a maxi skirt, That’s the beauty of pairing pretty much everything with a t-shirt. Versatility is key here!
I love the flat bootie and the hat. These are the other key pieces that keeps this more on the casual side This hat is another one of my amazing finds from the Apres Soleil Boutique. If you wanted to make it more day time office appropriate, then remove the hat and add a pump or heeled bootie.
There’s so many options you can do with a t-shirt to create so many great looks. Did you see this post with a classic tee and a pop of color?
Do you love a tee with a skirt, or do you prefer them with jeans and leggings?
Thanks so much for stopping by. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week!
