It’s been a while since I have done one of these. This quarantine and being home has been hard for me to think about outfit ideas because I honestly, I haven’t worn much other than leggings. I haven’t had a lot of motivation to dressed, so I’ve been at least doing my hair and makeup. Anyway, I got these new denim shorts in from Etre and thought I’d share some outfit ideas.
Denim shorts are a classic for warmer weather. They can be worn with just about ANYTHING, but sometimes it’s hard to hard to feel put together. Sure you can pair them with a simple tank or tee, but adding some layers will elevate it and pull it all together.
Denim Shorts Outfit Ideas
Layered with a kimono
One of my favorite’s, especially once it really starts to warm up. It’s lightweight, flowy and adds such a fun element. It’s perfect to layer over a cute tank, but also perfect if you’re headed to the pool. I grabbed this one from Lemon Gift Shop, but there are so many great one’s out right now. I also shared a ton of great ideas to wear them here.
Classic white button down
Such an easy look, an I know we all have some form of this classic white top. Mine, is this linen three quarter button down, but works great with a classic button down option as well.
Paired with a cardigan
Cardigans and cutoffs are such great look, and also soo easy. This is the perfect way to get more use of your cardigans after Winter. I’m sharing two different cardigans because it works for both the shorter and longer styles. I love how it’s such an easy grab and go kind of look.
Striped tee and utility jacket
I feel like we all have a striped tee and a utility jackets. They’ve been closet staple pieces for as long as I can remember. So take them from Fall and wear them with your denim shorts. You can do this with any sleeve length depending on what you have, and the weather than day.
Tie front top
I love this simple look. Although it’s not layering, the tie front adds a detail that looks like you put some thought to it. The beauty of this look is that you can do this with any top. So grab your lightweight thermal like this, or any graphic tee you have.
