This is a sponsored conversation with Dollar General, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
My kids are so excited for Halloween to come in a few short weeks. We’ve been decorating the house, talking about costume ideas and gathering up everything we need for a fun Halloween party for the kids with a few friends. This year I decided to put together a little Halloween scavenger hunt and some craft activities for them all from my local Dollar General.
I love doing fun holiday parties and get togethers for the girls, but doing them all the time can get expensive. So I love finding affordable ways to keep these party traditions going. If you follow along on Instagram, then you know I shop at Dollar General frequently for my everyday things, but DG is also your one-stop Holiday shop as well. For Halloween they have everything from candy, decor, party items, costumes and accessories.
Don’t forget you can save even more if you shop at Dollar General on Saturday’s with their $5 OFF $25 and other special digital coupons on name brand candy favorites like Hershey’s and Reese’s
Party decorations, Snacks and Activities
First on my list was party decor. I grabbed an orange table cloth, cute plates and napkins, a spider web bowl and some cute kids cups. These are some of the basics, and each of these were $1 a piece.
I also grabbed Halloween themed crafts and baking items. Dollar General has everything you need to make Rice Krispy treats or cupcakes, as well as some candies to decorate them.
While you’re there, be sure to grab plenty of snacks, treats and drinks. My kids picked out chips, granola bars and of course candy! I actually grabbed a few bags of candy to stock up for trick or treaters.
For the scavenger hunt, I grab several items for $1 each. I found some cute sparkling spiders, flashing bracelets, colorful vampire teeth and Halloween squishies.
Costumes
Dollar General also has a great selection of costumes, makeup and accessories. My girls picked out these cute wings and masks. And, we grabbed a scary mask and sword for my nephew. Last year we found cute pink hair and unicorn headbands for our Unicorn costume outfits. Oh and there are a lot of other options, too. Check here for some ideas on what you can find in store/order online.
The girls and I always have so much fun holiday shopping, and I love that I am able to get pretty much everything they pick out at Dollar General because it’s so affordable.
Are you hosting any Halloween parties this year? I’d love to hear about them: themes, where you shop and is it for adults or kids?
Hope you weekend is off to a great start. Thanks so much for stopping by.
