Happy Friday Friends!
Whew we made it through this crazy week. Can you all believe that craziness in Vegas? I was Up late that night working on the blog and overheard something about a shooting in Vegas, but honestly I thought it was the typical news story. It wasn’t until the next day I realized the extent of the madness. You guys, how heartbreaking! It really got me thinking about how truly unpredictable our world has become. As a mom I think all the time about this and it makes me scared for my girls. What kind of world is it going to be when they’re my age? Is it going to be safe? So many questions and concerns, but then I see my babies and they’re smiling, laughing, playing and their pure joy for life makes my heart so full.
I love being a Mama to these sweet girls and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Despite the fears, worries, struggles, meltdowns, bribes with sweets and frustrating days it is my favorite job! And yes, I have some or all of these feelings and experience everyday…after all my girls are three and 18 months.
As for the fashion, you HAVE to have a good utility jacket. I Promise. You will not regret buying it. I have a couple (here and here), but this jacket has been my go-to. Can we talk about the plaid elbow pads? How cute! The plaid also lines the hood, it really has the cutest details + it’s only $38. Our Winter in California is pretty mild and is mostly rainy. This jacket is so perfect for rainy days and it will pair perfectly with my red Hunter boots. I’ve been dying for that first cool, rainy day to wear this combo (I’ll be sure to post it for you when I do, because I know it’s going to be amazing…HaHaHa).

Your rib-knit sweater is sooo lovely dear! Love the color and the semi-fitted style. Your peep-toe booties are pretty as well
