If you have followed me on Instagram for a while now, then you know we basically live at the park. We try an go to a new park every month. It gets us out and about to explore the area and the girls get to be outside and run around. The girls love playing outside, I guess it’s a good thing we live where it stays pretty warm. Anyway, the point is we are connoisseurs of parks. So I wanted to share with you some of our favorite parks in the East Bay, as well as a few others that are fun!
Heather Farms Park
This is our tried and true park. It’s in Walnut Creek and probably the biggest park I have ever seen. There are about five play structures fit for different ages, as well as a rock climbing wall, large sand area and a pond with ducks and geese. You will also find the community pool, soccer and baseball fields, tennis and sand volleyball. One of my favorite things is it connects to the canal trail, so James will stay and play with the girls while I get my run in for the day.
Moraga Commons Park
Another great park. It’s in Moraga, so it’s a little tucked away, but really fun. It has two different pay areas, including a little train for the kids to play on. There’s also a skate park and sand volleyball. You can also find some great hiking, running and bike trails near by and lots of grassy areas for picnicking.
Berkeley Rose Garden & Cordonices Park
This is such a great place. Now the play structures and park part are pretty standard, but there is this really cool concrete slide. It’s really fun and the kids love it. Another great thing about this park is the tunnel that goes under the street leading you into the Berkeley Rose Garden. The garden is simply beautiful. So many different colors and types of roses. I could sit there all day!
Rancho San Ramon Community Park
James is really the one that’s great about discovering new parks. He has the girls every Sunday while I work at the hospital, so he tends to find new parks to keep their daddy/daughter days exciting. He found this one on one of those Sundays. It’s such a great one. Again several different age-appropriate play structures and this one also has a really cool slide. It’s built into a hills of rocks. The girls love to climb the stairs and slide down together. Another great feature of this park is there is a splash pad right there…perfect for those HOOOT Summer days!
There are so many parks around here that it really keeps things fun and exciting for the girls. I feel like every neighborhood has their own park. Here are a few more, not all in the East Bay, that we have visited and loved.

How cute they are! You must be having a blast with them!
Your little girls are the cutest! Love that you take your kids to the park and play, I think that’s extremely important for their development, both for their mind and body. Great job dear!
