Now that school is out for the next few months, it’s time to start planning for those Summer vacations. Whether it’s weekend trips to the Lake or planning a big elaborate vacation, there are a few things to pack for an easy, stylish getaway. I just traveled for a week long trip that was basically two trips in one. Since it was a road trip I didn’t have to be as mindful of how much I packed, but I could’ve easily made it the entire trip work with a few key pieces. Today, I’m sharing five things for a stylish getaway
Five Things For A Stylish Getaway
Swimsuit
Most vacation right now are all about being close to water. Finding the right swimsuit can be challenging. There’s a lot to think about and consider. Like what will you be doing, just laying out, skiing/wakeboarding, jet skiing or whatever. I mean you don’t want to choose a cutesy bikini if you’re going tubing…Ps I’ve done this before you may get dangerously close to loosing your bottoms, ooops!
Studded Sandals
Sandals are THE Summer shoe. You can’t not have a great pair of sandals. I have been obsessed with this particular pair since I’ve gotten them. I wear them all the time because they’re easy to slip on. I also love that they’re a great sandal to dress up or wear casually.
Throw on + go dress
My favorite thing about summer is the easiness of wearing a dress or romper. From cute, casual t-shirt shift dresses to fun detailed maxi dresses. They’re all easy and don’t require a lot of effort to style them. Add a great shoe and a few bracelets and you’re all set! Romper’s are so hot right now as well and they’re just as easy as a great summer dress!
Festive Handbag
Ok, so I’ll be honest here. I have been eyeing several bags, like adding them to my cart and thinking about them for a while….I just have yet to pull the trigger. But a great bag is one of the best accessories to change up that basic t-shirt or tank you pair with denim. Two things I like to think about when picking out a great summer bag, especially when I’m traveling are: is i neutral so I can wear it with most outfits I bring, or will this be easy to pack in my bag. Things that make a bag easy are thinking about the size. A clutch is typically easy, if it’s a tote I try to make sure it’s not a structured bag, one that will lay flat so it doesn’t take a lot of space in my suitcase.
Travel Beauty
Ok so I think one of the things that always takes a huge chunk of space and weight in my suit case is my beauty products. But, since discovering the Maskcara IIID foundation traveling with my makeup has been a breeze. I mean all of my highlight, contour, blush, illuminator, bronzer, powders and shadows are all in a single compact. There’s not large bag with 15 different products, plus all of my toiletry items. In fact, I actually just carry my palette in my purse, meaning there’s more space to pack any extra’s I want to toss in last minute.
Packing for a trip can be stressful trying to figure out what to pack. One of my favorite tricks is to pack items that can be worn with different things, like jean or denim shorts. just mixing up the top and shoes can create a different look entirely.
I’d love to hear about your travel plans this summer, where are you headed and some of your packing tips and tricks!
thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
