Happy Friday Mama’s! I could not be more excited about the weekend. The sun has been shining and the weather is starting to warm up. With Spring forward among us, the days will be getting longer, which can lead to difficult times of getting the kids the bed. If your kids are anything like mine then they feel like it’s not bedtime if it’s still light out. Basically I’m saying these longer days can often mean less time for yourself and more chances of getting frustrated, more time to add things to your plate and feel overwhelmed.
With that said, I want to share five things to remind yourself daily. These will help prepare you for the day and feel like you can get things accomplished. Positive talk does take some practice because we are often focused on the negatives. But I encourage you to write these five things down on a piece of paper, place it will you will see it first thing in the morning and say these out loud.
Five Things To Remind Yourself Daily
I am amazing
remind yourself how amazing you are. You have done amazing things. You may not realize it but you have. If you’re in a moment where you just aren’t feeling it, think back to where you were a year ago and where you are now. Things in everyday life go so slow that you may not realize the things you have made it through!
I can do anything
Like the previous one, you have done hard things. Maybe you’re a mom dealing with all things motherhood, working through the challenges of marriage or even going through a divorce, or maybe you’re starting a new business. You can do this!
Positivity is a choice
Yes, this is a true statement. I’ll be honest, it’s not easy and it will take some work, but you can change that negative talk. Start by saying something positive to yourself and at least one other person throughout your day. If someone is being negative, respond with something positive. Training your mind takes time and effort, but you got this!
I will celebrate my individuality
We are all unique in our own way, why not celebrate those. These are the things that make you who you are. You are special, and you need to remember this.
I am prepared to succeed
If you don’t prepare yourself to be successful, you probably won’t be. Give yourself a plan of action and ways to be productive to set yourself up for success.
The main thing to remember is not being to hard on yourself. You are doing an amazing job within whatever situation you are in. Just remind yourself these things daily and over time watch your mind shift. See how happier you feel over all. Sure you’ll have hard days and bad days, but saying these to yourself daily will help make those days, weeks, months, etc…a little more tolerable to get through. Because remember, you can do hard things!
