It’s Friday, WooHoo! Man, what a week it had been. I have been having trouble figuring out my schedule with for blogging, doing makeup and having the girls home with me all the time. But, honestly I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am embracing it, having fun and creating memories with my girls I hope they remember forever.
With that said, finding time to myself has been important. One of the things I have stepped up while at home is my workout routine. If you follow along on Instagram, then you know I have been doing this program for the last two months. It’s the best at home workout that I have done. Mostly because it doesn’t require a lot of equipment, but also its quick. Every workout is 30 minutes and something you can complete in your living room. It’s currently ON Sale with code KALLIE25 for 25% OFF.
Since being quarentined I know many of you have also been trying to fit in an at home fitness routine. If this is not your norm, then I wanted to share what my favorite things are to get a good at home workout in.
At Home Fitness Favorites
Yoga Mat
whether you’re doing yoga or just getting a workout this is perfect to help create a softer spot to move. I love that it adds a little cushion when I’m jumping or doing a move that requires being on my knees.
Weights
I’ve had some small dumbbells for about 6 years. I have both 2 and 5 pound weights. They have come in handy over the years to get in home workouts. You don’t have to go overboard here. Just pick two different weights that would be good for an array of different exercises.
Resistant Bands
These are great to have on hand for those days you don’t want to do much, but still get some toning in. I love pulling these out and do band workouts while watching TV. But, these are also great if you get injured. You can get a gentle workout or stretching in.
Foam Roller
I love foam rolling to help workout stiff and sore muscles. But, I actually often use it before starting a workout. Using this before you workout helps loosen up and stretch muscles before you get going.
Athletic Sneakers
I have had an array of brands when it comes to shoes I wear for working out and running. But I always end up coming back to my tride and true Nike sneakers. I love them because they’re lightweight, but offer good support.
I know staying motivated to workout can be hard, especially when you’re home with the kids all day and managing all the other things you’re dealing with. I have shared a few posts on staying motivated here and here. Hope these help.
I also would love to know your at home fitness must haves if it’s different than mine. I’d love to check it out.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.
