I have to admit guys, it took me all last night to decide what I wanted to post today. I had a couple of ideas, but nothing was giving me inspiration…ZERO! So I took a long break and got caught up on my current favorite show, The Bold Type. Do you watch it? Oh my gosh, I love it. It covers a ton of hard pressed topics to start important conversations in that overly dramatic way, but you just can’t get enough! Yeah, it’s one of those. Anyway, before I loose you to my FreeForm show obsessions let’s get to purpose of this post. Gift Ideas from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Ever since I started shopping the sale, like 6 years ago, I started getting my Holiday shopping done early. Like Christmas in July Early! There are so many people on my list that I can check off right now, and I can afford to get them a little bit extra because everything ON SALE right now. Besides getting my holiday list started, I also like to grab some of the candle sets, kitchen items or throws to have on hand for the unplanned housewarming get together, fall and winter weddings or showers, even those surprise baby announcements.

Now, You don’t have to only shop this sale. Sure I am just sharing my favorites picks from the Nordstrom sale, but you can use this as inspiration to get a jump start on all of gift shopping done early! Here are a couple of tips to get your holiday shopping done now…Well really any gift shopping done early.
How To Get Your Holiday Shopping Done Now
- Make A List. Start making your list of people to buy for now. Think of everyone you exchanged with last year and any new special people in your life.
- Set a budget. Decide how much you want to spend on each person. Write it next to their name and if you buy multiple things to meet that budget write each down as you get it. This lets you know where you are on your list.
- Work on it throughout the year. Once you decide to start shopping, do a little at a time. From personal experience when I wait to long or try and do it all at once I get tired. Then I’m just trying to get it done and not really thinking through it and giving a thoughtful gift.
- Shop all sales. Each season and holiday has some kind of sale associated with it. This is when you shop because it allows you to maximize your budget for each person on your list.
Ok, can you tell I like to be prepared? I just can’t help it, I don’t just love shopping…I love shopping for other people. Finding people the perfect gift is so much fun. Do you love shopping for others? Or are you like my husband and do it all the day before, or even the morning of? I’d love to hear your tips for early shopping below!
