Fall is a time we get to layer up and feel cozy. Not just in sweaters, but the accessories are always so much to look. I think that;s what I love about Fall. Adding layer after layer to get a complete look. Mixing textures, colors and prints is what makes this season so much fun. Most people know that I don’t shy away from color, or prints. In fact, there’s a running joke with my mother and sister laws that I haven’t met a stripe I don’t love. So I consider myself an expert in knowing how to where classic Fall prints..Ha
Ok, so let’s get to it. Let’s talk Fall trends, more importantly classic Fall prints. There are certain prints that just scream cooler temperatures and shorter cozy days. Prints like camo, leopard and plaid are three of the most iconic Fall prints. Now the best thing is you don’t have to go big with these and wear a loud leopard sweater, although I’ve been known to. It’s great as an accessory, like a scarf or a purse. The key to wearing any print is feeling comfortable and confident. If you don’t, it will show and you’ll think you can’t pull it off…but YOU CAN and I’ll show you how!
How To Wear Classic Fall Prints: Camo, Leopard and Plaid
Camo – This is a favorite. Because it’s so popular you can find this in many colors and shades. There are more muted tones so it doesn’t come off so bold. Find the one that fits your style. I tend to lend towards the classic print, with a touch of feminine to it. I picked up a camo jacket a couple of years ago from H&M and I’m obsessed. It’s one of my favorite jackets still to this day. I have also found great pants and tops in camo, they aren’t always my go-to, but they are equally as cute.
Leopard – Oh my gosh. I love leopard. If it were to ever go out of style I’d be heart broken, actually I wouldn’t because I wouldn’t care and would wear it any way. It’s such a fun print and always gives you the “I’m hot and sultry” feeling #amiright ? It’s also a neutral in my book because it can be worn in so many ways and compliment several colors. You can find me in just about any and everything leopard.
Plaid – A classic plaid top, skinny jeans and riding boots, does it get anymore Fall than that? It’s such a cozy print and you can find it in pretty much any color combo. If a plaid button down isn’t your thing, then go for a scarf. It allows you to wear the print, but not feel overwhelmed by it.
