It’s My Birthday: Here’s 35 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying the day with their families! In case you’re new around here, I thought I’d do a little get-to-know me post for my birthday this year! I’m 35 today so I came up with 35 things that you might not know about me. To be honest, it’s kind of hard thinking of 35 things about yourself…Haha

35 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT ME

1. I’ve been a nurse for 7 years!

2. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri

3. I am 5′ 9”

4. I started blogging in 2015

5. I love thunder storms

1. My favorite movie is Pretty women, I would watch it at least 3 times a week

2. I am a middle child, I have an older brother and younger sister

3. My favorite treat is a warm chocolate chip cookie

4. My favorite ice cream is chocolate chip cookie dough

5. My birthday is on Christmas Day

6. I’ve been married for 7 (almost 8) years, but together for 11 years

7. I met my husband when I worked in marketing, he was my day to day contact for a sponsorship we had with the KC Wizards (now Sporting KC)

8. I’ve been using and selling Maskcara Beauty for 2.5 years. The simplicity and how compact it is has been such a game changer for me as a busy Mama

9. I have a ton of embarrassing stories, check out my post here for proof

10. My favorite season is fall, I hate winter (other than Christmas/my birthday)

11. I played competitive softball starting at 8 years old

12. I was Missouri Gatorade Softball Player of the Year my senior year of High School

13. My dream vacation spot is Greece, hopefully one day!

14. I’m a huge nail biter, but recently started getting my nails done to keep the habit at bay

15. I’ve never been a big sleeper, I’m typically good with about 4-5 hours

16. I’ve always wanted a Chanel bag and Louis Vuitton tote

17. My fav place to shop would probably be Nordstrom, but it’s not always the most budget friendly.

18. I drink 3-4 coffees everyday

19. I’m a loyal buyer of Perfect Bars, I have one everyday for breakfast

20. I used to wear heels all the time, before kids, but now I’m all about the comfys! These days you’ll only catch me wearing heels at an event or night out

21. I record a ton of tv shows, typically 2-3 per night 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love tv

22. I have always loved to cook. I mostly find recipes but always change things based on what I have and like

23. James and I have never bought a house, we’ve always rented

24. I’m fashionably late to everything – it’s always a good idea to tell me to be somewhere 10-15 minutes before I actually need to be there

25. James and I have moved 5 times in 7 years

26. My husband works in Tech, but recently got certified as an Enrolled Agent with the IRS to do taxes

27. I usually have hair extensions in, either clip in or have worn the Keratin Bond. About to try Hand-Tied extensions so stayed tuned for all the details

28. I’ve lived in 4 states: Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and California

29. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but also the hardest for me because my Dad died on Christmas Day when I was 16

30. My favorite thing about blogging is getting to share my tips, tricks and passion with all of you. As well as learning and getting inspired by other blogging friends and you guys in return!

This space has brought so much joy to my life, as well as the chance to meet so many amazing people. Ive gained some amazing friendships and also got me started on my Maskcara journey.
