Happy Wednesday Friends! Can you believe September is already half way over? Saturday is the first official day of fall so I’m soaking up every last bit of summer while I can. But honestly, it’s almost a bit weird to say that. Living here in California our weather doesn’t fluctuate drastically, not like that of the Midwest. Being from Kansas City, where the weather can be drastically different from day to day I’ll take it. Regardless of what you’re weather is doing these days one thing you can get away with wearing is a jumpsuit. Saturday is the first official day of fall so I’m soaking up every last bit of summer while I can.
Here’s why is think jumpsuits are legit Mom Style wardrobe staple.
- They’re comfortable
- It’s easy to throw on and go
- You can easily dress it up or down
- Mixing up your jacket or cardigan gives it a different vibe
- You don’t have to even thing about what you’re going to wear…It’s one-stop-styling!
This striped jumpsuit has been a favorite lately. I picked it up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have worn it a bunch already. I wore it on a lunch date with wedges, recently wore it to Santa Cruz for a day at the beach and boardwalk with sandals and also running errand with sneakers.
It’s so versatile, which is every Mom’s dream. A piece that can be worn several ways makes your whole life a whole lot easier, right?
Here are 5 ways to wear your jumpsuit. This way you can wear it once a week for a month, make it look different each time and no one will ever know!
5 Fall Styling Ideas For Jumpsuits
Denim Jacket and sandals, or sneakers are cute too. A denim jacket pretty much transitions anything into Fall. If you don’t have a denim jacket, try layering a denim or chambray shirt for the same idea. Keep it casual by wearing cute slides or simple white sneakers.
Leather jacket and mules. A leather jacket takes the feminine feel of a jumpsuit, or really anything, and adds a little edge to it. Paired with black mules and you’ll be feeling comfortable to walk around all day with kids, or running errands.
Cardigan and low ankle booties plus a hat. Staying true to Fall style with a cardigan and a hat. You could really do anything with the shoes, but ankle booties are one of my fave shoes for this time of year.
Boyfriend Blazer and flats. This is the perfect way to mix it into your work wardrobe if you work in an office setting. If not, it’s still super cute and perfect for meeting up with girlfriends or mommy dates!
Layer a shirt underneath. Whether it’s a long sleeve tee or a crisp white collar top, this changes the the whole vibe of the jumpsuit and again perfect for work or mom life!
I love being able to mix and match pieces in my closet to get a ton of use out of it. Finding ways to get creative to reinvent and re-imagine the piece is what fashion is all about. Plus it’s a great way to save money while still looking like you have a ton of pieces stocked up in your Fall wardrobe.
