Every year I plan a time or two to have family photos done. And every time I stress myself out over what our theme is, what to wear, how should we coordinate without looking too matchy, etc…
James also usually huffs and puffs a bit about it because he hates taking pictures. But, afterwards he ends up liking them and glad I planned it.
I usually try and plan our sessions while we’re in Kansas City because I know a few photographers that are fantastic + reasonable to work with. As I mentioned HERE, this year we worked with Abbie, AD Photography, and we loved working with her! She’s so good and with family pictures she’s fast too, which we need with the girls (they’re only good for a short period of time).
So, when it comes to printing anything my go-to spot is Shutterfly. I have printed a ton of photo albums and our cards for the last 5 years (since we’ve been married). I have always been soo happy with them. The are a ton of options to choose from and are so easy to customize. This year they have the new glitter cards and they are SOO cute. Of course I went with one of these, I mean who doesn’t love a little sparkle this time of year! I also love how affordable it is to use Shutterfly, there is always some great promotion going on. Currently the Glitter, Foil and Ornament cards are 50% (use code: OHJOY), what a fantastic deal! Lastly, I always like how fast I always receive my items, there’s never any prolonged waiting….which I especially love when I create an album, because I can’t wait to see it!
For any of you who avoid getting pictures done because it’s too stressful or feels like it’s too expensive (check with Abbie, because she will work with you), I say JUST DO IT. I have never once regretted my decision to have them done! I always love them and so glad we did it!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a fabulous week!
Kallie
