The 4th of July is just one week away. I’m so excited for our first one back in Kansas City, to be with family and enjoying all the sites and sounds of the night. See here in KC, on the Missouri side, we’re able to buy our own and shoot them off. Which I know has it’s positives and negative, but it’s just SOO fun!
From dancing around with a sparkler, to seeing the pretty cones spraying up their flames and the thrill of lighting the fireworks and running away in time to see it shoot up. It’s crazy, fun and exciting and I think the girls are going to have so much fun this year.
But, just like any holiday there’s a fun theme to think about when deciding what to where. Besides dressing in red, white and blue there are a few other things to factor in. Like are you just hanging out and can wear a cute dress, or are you like me and getting out there lighting fireworks?
So I wanted to share several different options no matter your plans. Ps ALL of these work for Memorial and Labor Day so you can double, even triple dip these ideas up!
12 Red, White and Blue Outfit Ideas: An Easy Patriotic Guide
I took a swimsuit and turned it into a bodysuit. You could easily pair with shorts or a skirt if you’re headed to a pool party.
A star tank is perfect. I’ve had this one for a couple of years, so linking to some other cute options!
This tank was the it tank last Summer. I love the fun detail. I could only find it in white, but you can take any blue cami and create the same look. Oh and these fun sunnies are from Walmart, they were only like $2.
Graphic tees are perfect. They’re cute, comfy and easy. This one is from last year, but Old Navy has some really cute options this year too!
If you’re keeping it super casual, grab your red leggings and white tee. Although I don’t have blue on, it still works!
A blue tank, white skinnies and add a pop of red with either shoes or a fun handbag! I’ve had these shoes for a couple of years, but have linked to this years version.
A Navy and white stripe tee is great with shorts, jeans or a denim skirt.
I grabbed a sports bra to create a crop top look. But you could easily wear a swim top, or a cute cropped top if you have it.
A blue bodysuit (mine is old) with shorts and a few pops of red and white. This is a great look because it can really be worn any time throughout Summer!
If you’re a Kansas City local then you know about these Charlie Hustle tees. They’re amazing! I just tied it up over a white bodycon slip dress, threw on some sneakers and you’re all set. Ps: You could do this with any tee!
A t-shirt dress is both cute and comfy. Plus it’s very versatile (see here for 6 outfit ideas)
Nothing more classic than a white tee and jeans. I grabbed these fun accessories from Walmart to make it more fun!
