The morning struggle to get out the door can be an ordeal. As a mom you’re getting the kids ready for school, making lunches and packing their backpacks to ensure they have their stuff for the day. So for me, I need to have simple mom life outfits in my pocket to get ready quick and get them out the door.
A few key pieces for these quick outfits
- Leggings
- Cute t-shirts
- Easy to slip on shoes
- Favorite pair of jeans, mine is this pair
These are closet staples that we all can’t live without. I love, LOVE this pair of leggings. They’re high-waisted, hold you in and the quality is great.
If you don’t like the style that holds you in as much as I do, then definitely try this pair of leggings for about $12. Still high-waisted, but not as supportive. They’re a little lighter in weight so perfect for Spring and Summer months.
Leggings pair with everything from t-shirts, to tanks, sweaters and pretty much anything…which is why they’re great. The key with leggings is to try and keep things well-fitting. This keeps the look from looking sloppy.
T-shirt are your best friend
T-shirts are everyone’s best friend. I love that athleisure is still going strong because it’s simple and so easy to grab and go. You can take almost any tee and make it work for outfit.
Layer with a denim or leather jacket, depending on the season, tie it in a knot to make it more fitted or half tuck it to keep it clean. There are so many great basics, like these for $18, plus some super cute graphic tee that fit everyone’s style.
Find the right shoes
Shoes are my jam, but they have to be comfortable and easy to slip on. The easy to slip on part especially for my everyday Mom life. I mean I can barely put on my own clothes without having a kid in tow, let a lone trying to put on complicated shoes or sandals.
Slip on sneakers, slides, mules or even regular sneaker that can slip on easily are my go-to shoes almost every single day.
So whether you’re a leggings, jeans or joggers kind of girl you got this. Keep things simple, and layer. Layering tends to make a look put together and more thought out…even if it wasn’t!
The key is to ensure things fit well. This keeps you looking pulled together and like you care, rather than sloppy and The Who freaking cares vibes.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, or what your favorite look is. If you know a Mama who needs a little inspiration, share this post with her. Style can be EASY AND COMFORTABLE! So have a little fun with it!
