Ok, so does anyone really send handwritten cards anymore? I do. I love sending a note to a friend or a sweet thank you card to someone that’s done something nice for me. There’s just nothing like a handwritten card. I’m dying over these cute cards from Papyrus x Refinery 29. They’re fun and quirky. I’ll be needing these more and more soon because I have been keeping a pretty big secret over here and I have been dying to tell you all…
WE’RE MOVING!!
I am having a bit of mixed emotions over here. I have really come to love California and the Bay Area. From the weather, to all of the activities available around here to the amazing friends and opportunities I’ve had here. I have been stressing so much about getting together things for a huge move across the country. Plus working full time and taking care of my family. To say it’s been crazy is an understatement!
We’re moving back to Kansas City, which comes with a lot of pros and cons. I think the things I have not missed is the insane weather patterns. Actually there is no pattern about it..it’s just plain unpredictable. There’s not as much to do within close proximity. Like the beach or mountains, and more importantly no wine country!
With that said, I am super excited to venture on the journey. Kansas City is a much, much cheaper market. For those that don’t know, The Bay Area is the most expensive city in the world! So I’m excited to get a house that’s bigger and newer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! I mean literally. I can’t wait to start decorating a new house and bring you all along with me.
A few other things I’m excited for is there are so many great schools, and of course my family is there. I’m so excited to actually spend time with my family over the holidays and not be living out of a suitcase the entire time.
I haven’t been back to area much the last three years. So if you know of an amazing area to move to please let me know. We have been looking online but have not seen a lot out there.
We’re excited for this next adventure and can’t wait to see what’s next for us!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Now, Get Out There Gorgeous and have a fantastic weekend!
Here’s a little throwback to the day we moved out here. I was 13 weeks pregnant with Amelia and we took 3 days for the long trip!
Well of course I’m excited to have you back home! But, I will say that I have truly loved having a place to escape too! I will miss my trips out there! I agree that there is so much to do out there and I will miss exploring the different areas every time I came out. The shopping, little bistros, the beach, the city of San Fran,Napa, and of course one of my favorites- Sausalito! We will welcome you home again! Love, Mom
That’s so exciting, yet I can empathize with the overwhelming/mixed emotions. Many years ago when we were making decisions on our living situation we settled for less pretty, less appealing weather patterns for a home with a backyard, and a life that didn’t include insurmountable debt. Sure sometimes I get the itch for warmer weather but I never regret not having to live paycheck to paycheck. Looking forward to following your journey.
