I know I don’t work in an office now, but I use to. I always loved finding pieces that could work for both the office and running around on the weekend. Finding the right pieces to mix and match is the best way to maximize your closet. Especially for those items that are a classic staple that you want to spend a little more on. My favorite piece to layer is a t-shirt. A t-shirt from the office to weekend is the easiest way to go.
I picked up this cute red tee from Target, it’s only $20 and it’s perfect (also comes in black). The sleeve detail is so cute and makes it a little dressier. It’s perfect to tuck into trousers or pencil skirt and top it off with a blazer or cardigan. Then if you’re headed out for drinks after take off your jacket and it’s perfect for that after work look. With the fun sleeve ruffles it’s the perfect top to throw on with jeans over the weekend for an outing with the family, or while running errands. It gives you a pulled together look without a lot of thought.
I wore this first look recently one Friday morning for an interview. I knew it was a business casual environment so it was the perfect look. After I go home I immediately threw on these jeans, grabbed my suede jacket and went to the park with the girls and off to lunch.
Finding the right tee is the key to being able to take it from the office to weekend wear. My key points when looking are fit and details. This is not your typical weekender boyfriend tee. It has to be a little more structured and fitted. This keeps it from looking too sloppy, ya know? Or look for something with some detail, like ruffles or embroidery.
Here is another option for wearing a long sleeve tee from the office to weekend. This look is perfect for the weekend, or it could be worn without the hat for the office. If you’re needing to be a little dressier then exchange the bootie for a pump.
This is the kind of things that I love. Having some great looks and exchanging one or tow parts to wear it somewhere else. It’s how I get that price per wear a little lower and gives me justification for purchasing it. Are you a fan of t-shirts for the office?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I loved how you paired these leopard flats with this red top! This look is so office chic!

Aww thanks girl! you’re so sweet
Such a cute look dear. Really pretty transition, love that you kept the leopard shoes for both looks.
