Transitioning Your Summer Clothes Into Fall

The temps around here are finally cooling off. It’s been in the 70’s and I am so gearing up for Fall. Fall is definitely my favorite season. It think because it’s got the cool crisp air in the mornings, but a peak of Spring/Summer in the afternoon. The layer’s of Fall are cozy and oh so comfortable, don’t you agree? Because layering is key this time of year, it’s so easy to transition you Summer clothes into Fall.

Also, the smells of Fall just bring me to the happiest place. Cinnamon, apple, the spices and of course all the pumpkin things just remind me of home. It’s wearing a big cozy sweater, drinking a latte and enjoying a piece of pumpkin bread. Are you with me? Are you now dreaming of all things Fall yet?

I know I am! Anyway, let’s get to the main point of this post. I am ALLLL about maximizing my closet. I buy pieces with the intention of knowing I’ll wear it a ton because it’s a staple, comfortable and can be worn in multiple ways. So here are a couple of tips to maximizing your closet as we head into cooloer months.

Transitioning Your Summer Clothes Into Fall

Layer your tanks. This is the easiest way to get more wear out of those cute cami tanks you’ve been wearing all summer. Grab a cardigan, leather or bomber jacket to wear over them.

 

Sweaters, Blazers or Cardigans with shorts. You don’t have to put your cutoffs away just yet. They always look so cute with an oversized sweater or layered with a blazer.

Just add a bootie. Booties go with just about anything. Create a more Fall look for just about anything by just adding a bootie. Whether you go open or closed toe, you instantly elevate it to a cozier look.

These are just a few easy tips and tricks to get more wear out of your summer favorites. This is definitely my favorite time of year for fashion. Layering is just more interesting to me. What about you, is this your favorite time of year?
