Happy Friday! I love dresses, but it’s hard to find the right time or place to wear them. As a nurse I work every Sunday, so wearing them to church is out. I have two young girls I’m constantly chasing around and playing with. And, we just don’t go to too many places that require a dressy vibe. So my goal this year has been to figure out how to wear them more, incorporate dresses in a more regular rotation. Why…because they’re cute, simple and EASY! So today I’m sharing one dress 2 ways simply by changing up the shoes.
I haven’t tried the midi dress too often. I’ve had this one for a while (because I go it for a steal, Ha), but haven’t figured out how I wanted to style it. Do you ever do that? Buy something because it’s cute AND on sale, then get it home and have know idea how to wear it? That was me with the dress….THREE YEARS AGO! It was something I don’t normally wear, but like it and thought for sure I’d wear it…Ha, yeah right!
My point is, sometimes we buy things on a whim, impulsively really, but then struggle to actually wear it. I’m guilty of this, and FAAARR TOO OFTEN than I’d love to admit. So I challenged myself to finally get this dress out and just style it.
How To Wear One Dress 2 Ways
I paired it with sneakers first, mostly because I can wear this in real life, running around with the girls and actually be able to move and be comfortable. I mean what’s an outfit or dress if it doesn’t fit into your actual life #AmIRight?
The second is a little more traditional. You can wear this to work, church or a nice dinner out. Just by switching to booties you elevate the look and easily take it from day to night…or casual to dressy.
Impulsive buying is such a bad habit for me. What about you? How do you fight the urge to buy something just for the sake of buying it, or because it’s on a killer sale? I need help! Just like This Post, it took me over a year to wear this jumpsuit.
I’d love to hear your tips and tricks on how you take looks from day to night. Do you change the shoes, add different jewelry or other accessories…Or do you just not care and wear it the same way regardless of where you’re taking the look?
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Jackets and cute dresses are the two of the many reasons why I love the fall season. Lovely suede jacket dear.
