It’s funny, my sister and I are SOO much alike. I’m talking we look alike, act alike and pretty much have the same sense of style. However, she lives in a color palette of black, white and grey. She only incorporates color occasionally and more when we’re together and I push her into buying and wearing bright colors. Are you this way, or are you like me and live colorfully?
I love color! Bright colors are my favorite! In fact I’m always in neon colors when I’m at the hospital for my nursing shifts and I can’t even tell you how many people comment on this, and how it’s bright and cheery. To me it’s the only way to survive the gloomy days of being a nurse. Being in the ICU I see the worst of the worst and it gets very dreary and sad. My philosophy is if I can bring cheer to a family, even if it’s for just a brief moment, then it’s worth it…right?
On the flip side, wearing color puts me in a better mood. I am loving how hot yellow and red are this season. If you’re not used to wearing color then throwing on a bright yellow dress can be intimidating. But, that’s ok, brightly colored pieces aren’t for everyone. Incorporating color in small accents is a great place to start, and as you feel more comfortable gradually increase the amount of color until it’s a bright top or dress.
I don’t shy away from color. So if you’re looking for more inspiration on wearing bright colors you can check out a few of my previous posts here, here and here.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope your week has been great so far and keeps getting better!

That’s a lovely dress you got there dear. I love the vibrant yellow paired with plaid scarf. Also, those long boots are really pretty.
