Now that it’s October, I officially feel like it’s Fall. Our temps are still pretty warm, but they have cooled off a bit more. Once those temps hit 60’s I start pulling out all my sweaters and boots. My favorite is the over the knee boots. So today’s post is all about over the knee boot outfit ideas.
I have three colors: black, taupe and burgundy. I would say they get the most use in that order. As much as I want the super expensive Stuart Weitzman pair, I just can’t justify the price. Actually funny story. I did splurge on a pair once during Black Friday. They were on super sale, but only had them in one pair that was once size bigger.

I went ahead and purchased them thinking they’d come back in stock, which they never did…So I ultimately returned them and haven’t attempted to get them again. Although I do have a pair that I got as a gift, I’m sometimes scared to wear them for fear of ruining them.
So, I have much more affordable options from Steve Madden. And I’ve had my black pair for 4 years now, and the taupe for about 3.5 years. They’re still in great shape and worth the price.
Over The Knee Boot Outfit Ideas
Black Over The Knee Boots
These are the most versatile color. I wear these color the most because they go with everything. I’m also not as worried about ruining them because the color wears well.
If you’re not into wearing heels, grab them in the flat style. They look just as nice, and can also be worn a little more casually.

Taupe Over The Knee Boots
I equally love this pair because they’re also very versatile. I would say whatever you have in your closet the most would determine whether black or taupe would be worn the most. This color is a pretty close second, in fact I feel like the I might wear this part just as often as my black boots.
Burgundy Over The Knee Boots
Honestly, I’ve had these for a couple of year and haven’t worn them much, until this year. I just couldn’t get rid of them though, because I just thought color was so cool.
It wasn’t until last Winter when I started doing these outfit ideas post that I figured out how to style them several ways. So basically, doing these posts doesn’t just help you get ideas, they help me too!!
