Since I began blogging, James was immediately enlisted as my photographer. He actually does pretty good with the iPhone. I mean sometimes the lighting isn’t always the best or we’re in a hurry with the girls, etc…So I usually just work with what we can get. But, I reached out to one of my sister’s good friends to shoot some family pictures for us, as well as a couple of outfits for the blog.
So, while we were in Kansas City in November we met up with Abbie Dougherty, AD Photography, for a photo session. I have to say, she was so great to work with. Aria did not really want to participate at first, but after a few bites of a Kit Kat and Abbie’s warm, welcoming and comfortable vibe Aria was a modeling pro!
I kept myself pretty simple because my sister told me “Kallie, no one is really focusing on you or James. SORRY. They really just want to see the girls.” So I went with basic black and white so the girls in their red dresses would POP!
I love this sweater so much, I grabbed it during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale and while in KC Nordstrom Rack had it in this GORGEOUS purple color (it is coming to the blog soon). Paired it with my leggings and these cute block heel shoes.
Sweater: Diane Von Furstenberg, similar here and here , love this // Leggings: BP. Nordstrom // Shoes: Steve Madden // Purse: Tory Burch, similar // Bracelets: Lagos // Sunnies: Versace // Lips: bareMinerals Call The Shots // Aria (similar) & Amelia’s Dresses from Target // Aria and Amelia’s Shoes: Old Navy
So, if you’re in the Kansas City area be sure to check out Abbie, AD Photography! Besides being so easy to work with she is very reasonable and would be able to help you get what you’re looking for within your budget!
