Happy Holiday Season! We’re on a role this year, getting our Christmas decor up early, what do you think? We got our decor up early this year because we wanted to be sure we could enjoy it. We have a tripped planned in December, so we’re just making up for the week we’re going to miss, ha! Holiday home decor is my favorite, it’s just so pretty and magical.
After moving last holiday and getting rid of a bunch of decor, I bought a bunch of new things for a STEAL at Dollar General. You all know me, I shop there all the time and DG has seriously stepped up their game, and you can save so much money shopping there.
Dollar General Decor Finds
One of my favorite ways to decorate for the holidays is adding garland everywhere. DG had a variety of great garland options for me. It just feels so warm, inviting and helps to create a Winter Wonderland. I found these pre-lit flocked garland for $8…I bought them all (haha from the 2 stores close to me). I ended up wanting/needing a couple more so bought the unflocked version, also $8, and a can of snow. I sprayed them, let them dry and BOOOM they matched perfectly.
I also grabbed the cutest Santa to welcome every guest in our home, and he was only 30 bucks! Seriously such a steal. To finish the living room I placed a pre-lit garland on the mantle and added these silver and gold glitter trees.
I love to decorate the girls’ room for the holidays. It was time for a new tree in Aria’s room, so I grabbed this 4′ pre-lit flocked tree for $20. I let her pick out her own tree skirt, ornaments and tree topper. They had a ton of options from single ornaments for dollar, to large packs for $6. We had the best time putting up her tree and decorating it together. See all of DG’s tree options for kids and the family.
You all may know that front porch decorating is my favorite. It’s so fun. I grabbed almost everything while shopping at DG. The garland, command hooks, bows the presents and extension cords. Oh and my wreath too! The wreath originally had a buffalo plaid bow on it, which didn’t match my decor. So I cut it off and picked up a few holiday floral picks and stuck it in the wreath. It turned our perfect!
Dollar General Gift Guide
Christmas is going to be here before we know it, so I’ve been stocking up on gifts already. I found a good selection of items at Dollar General as well.
I loved all the fun little gifts and toys I found for $1, perfect for stocking stuffers or Elf on the Shelf gifts. My youngest loves puzzles, and grabbed this fun LOL Surprise one, but they also had other options from Disney Characters to Barbie. My oldest loves crafts, so I grabbed her this really fun bath bomb making kit.
A few other things I grabbed are the Men’s Dove self-care kit and a few shirts for my husband. There are so many other great gift items such as bluetooth speakers, noise cancelling headphones and car accessories.
